Fall Epic 8HR

Pulse Racing’s Fall Epic 8 HR race marks the end of the mountain bike race season for many riders and the event didn’t disappoint this year.  The 10 km Hardwood Hills’ course was comprised of fast and flowy trails with just enough challenge without being overly technical for newer riders. Raceday weather was also perfect with the sun breaking throughout the day.

Team Progressive raced in one of the largest categories of the day, the 4-Person Open, with Peter, Jay, Jan and Mike taking the to the trails for Maverix. Jay drew the straw for first lap and finished just under 30min, solidifying 3rd for the team out of the gate. The team worked hard on the subsequent laps eventually moving into 2nd ahead of Team Apollo, but couldn’t close the gap to the Trek Store Fast riders.

Relay events like this are always a blast, as they bring out all levels of riders and have a great community vibe. Great job by the Pulse Racing and Hardwood Hills crew! We’re already looking forward to next season!
