SuperFly Racing brought the Ontario Cup back to Albion Hills this season for the fifth stop of the provincial series. The fast Albion course did not disappoint and the return of the Enduro format was also a hit! Mixing up the series, SuperFly also introduced a longer Enduro course for the earlier 10:00 and 11:45am waves. The 20+km loop was a welcomed change from the standard lap format and a favourite whenever it comes up on the schedule.
Team Progressive had an amazing day on the hot and dry Albion race course. We also welcomed our title sponsor Progressive Nutritional, as they were onsite to sample some of their amazing products and cheer us on! Gary and Alana were the first of the Maverix crew to hit the course in the 10:00am Enduro Wave. Gary had a solid race amongst a big field, just missing a top 10 position by under a minute. Alana had an amazing first race back after becoming a new mommy, as she took the win in her category!
The 1:30 Expert and Elite wave saw the team’s largest representation. Liam, Kelsey, Chris and Brendan kicked it off in the Elite field, with Liam and Kelsey rounding out the podium with solid 4th and 5th place finishes. Greg, Kyle, Jay and Mike soon followed in the Expert categories, with Greg claiming an impressive top five in his first expert race, and Mike taking second in his field.
Another great day of racing on a amazing course!
